SCHOOL EVENTS

The cricket season for boys, and the swimming season for both boys and girls, has begun in earnest.

Cricket matches are against GLENWOOD this weekend (Saturday 16^th January) with the 1^st team travelling to Durban.  Given the 1^st team’s current form and level of enthusiasm, we look forward to an excellent cricket season.

The swimmers are working on their time trials both for the Interhouse gala (which will be held on Friday 19^th February) and the Midmar Mile.  Many of our pupils swim the daunting Midmar Mile and we congratulate them on their community involvement.

Both boys and girls’ tennis teams start with their respective matches next week.  The boys have entered their 1^st team into the 1^st division and we know they will benefit enormously from exposure to the best that schoolboy tennis, can offer in Natal.

Other events to diarize are:

1.             Matric Parents’ Evening on Tuesday 19^th January. Matric parents are warmly invited to come and meet with their children’s individual teachers and together we can work on supporting your child through this pressurized and important year in their school career.

2.            New Parents’ evening on Thursday 4^th February, in the Dave Mayo Centre. 6 p.m.
